Slider After Demo Installing Lath

Stucco Patch Around New Slider Door

A new slider door had been installed at this home and when I showed up there was a small amount of the stucco that was broken out around the door, to install the flashing.

We broke out a little more of the stucco to make sure there was good paper and wire to attach our new paper and wire to and then we lathed up the area around the door.

We then applied the two base coats (scratch and brown) and then applied the finish coat and tried to match the existing texture as closely as possible.

  • Type of Repair: New Sliding Door perimeter patch
  • Process of Repair:  Break out stucco around slider, apply lath, scratch, and brown coats. Then apply a two coat finish (lace texture) that matches existing texture as closely as possible. Walls will be painted.
  • Stucco System: Three coat stucco system
  • Location of Project: Auburn, California
