This was an older chimney that really needed to be touched up and after we added a couple of coats, it was transformed into something that was a lot more pleasing to the eye.
The first thing we needed to do was to do a thorough pressure washing over the entire surface in order to remove any dirt that was present.
After that, a thin base coat was applied directly to the cinder blocks. The last step was to apply two coats of a fine, cement based stucco finish.
The finish coat really did look a lot like the base coat because the color had a gray hue to it, so it was hard to tell the difference between the base coat and the finish coat.
